Transpower owns and operates the national grid – the network of high voltage transmission lines and substations that delivers bulk power to towns and cities across New Zealand. Some of their transmission lines pass through plantation forests, and if you need to undertake forestry operations or harvest areas close to their lines, you will need to talk to them about how to do so safely.
